Journey Group "Deconstructing Cravings"

Topic: "Deconstructing Cravings" – You crave chips, your friend needs a brownie. What’s up with the cravings and what is your body trying to tell you?

Since we are a mind, body and Spirit, or you might say physical, emotional, Spiritual self I feel it is important to encompass learning on these three areas of our life. When they are in balance our life feels different.

Our body does speak to us when it comes to our food habits. It also has a reaction like a little kid wanting what it wants. We often confuse it by what we are eating as it reacts to something we ate with what is that all about? Think of yourself as a car with fuel – your energy needs good quality fuel to run efficiently.

I would like to share additional tips given by Sandy Griesbach so we know better ways of handling our cravings along with a message from God. Sandy had so much to say I am

sharing some of my notes.

Follow up notes from the March Journey group

“Deconstructing your cravings”

What is a Craving? Your body sending you a signal that something is not in balance. Our challenge is to decipher the code of what our body is trying to tell us.

General causes include Addiction / Allergy, Imbalance, and Memory or Emotion. Use the chart below to see if you can pinpoint the cause of your craving and whether or not you should give in or resist. Examples as follows:

Causes

Resist or cave in?

Is it dangerous?

Addiction / Allergy

Sugar / Coffee

Cave in

Probably not

Sugar / Coffee

Resist

Might be uncomfortable for a couple of days

Wheat allergy

Cave in

Will probably make you want more

Imbalance

Hormone

Cave in

Your body is already in flux

Nutrients

Cave in

Your body is trying to recalibrate

Quantity of food

Depends – are you dieting and not eating enough

Your body may be tired of just salads, and one more grape is not going to satisfy a need for nutrient dense food

Memory / Emotion

Body changes every 6 – 7 years

Resist

It’s your body’s last hurrah as cells leave and it will not taste the same

Emotional eating

Resist

While food as friend might fill you up it will not fulfill you – beware comfort foods

Your food nourishes your cells and therefore you have a very intimate relationship with food

Resist

The food you eat today is your body of the future

Beware Moldy foods: peanut butter, fruit juice and jams especially if you have mold allergies – may kick in with season changes

When you find yourself impulsively reaching for something slow down and try and figure out what your body is really asking for. Start with flavor: Sweet, Salty, Bitter, Pungent or Spicy

If not the flavor, maybe it is the texture you crave? Crunchy, creamy, light, liquid, or plain food. Each is a different code for you to workout.

An example:

Chewy and crunchy food at end of day may represent anger we have been suppressing all day, and we may be trying to chew away our emotions.

What about chocolate? Chocolate has 380 chemicals which activate various pleasure centers in the brain. Some of those are the same as the pleasure seeking or high found in opiates and pot, though you would need 25lbs of chocolate to get a the same high as pot or 12 lbs of coffee for that coffee adrenal rush. Dark chocolate has antioxidants – buy the best quality you can (less quantity) and really celebrate.

We also covered several tips to dealing with urges.

Bonus tips:

  • We know we should avoid empty calories but sometimes can’t stop ourselves. If you consider them as toxic rather than empty it might be easier.
  • Try to stick to real food… some thing you recognize because it grows, swims, walks, jumps, or swims.
  • A breathing technique was presented by Sandy. It was suggested we use this technique twice a day is sets of 4 reps for the next 30 days to experience and share our results.

This technique will change energy, help you to relax and sleep.

Kambucha tea is great for digestion

Meat is the yang

veggies are the yin.

Diantha brought in most amazing mandala of Mother Mary that was exquisite. I have asked her to bring it back to the group in June.

I brought in the book Heaven is for real a true story about a child who visited heaven, son of a pastor as a suggested read.

Message Cindy received from God

What does this group need to learn about cravings?

It depends on what type of craving you are talking about. There are so many of them and why you crave them often depends on your emotional needs and state of well being. The high you get or the fix takes place in the exchange of energy that is often supplied by these needs. Remember to be careful what you feel your fix is in life. What is it that you need to feel that high?

The attitude you feel towards anything or anyone is often a direct result on how you feel it will benefit you. In other words if you don’t get anything out of it often you will deserve a different outcome. I use the word deserve because all things are worthy and deserving of goodness if you look at them that way.

Eat well, eat right but eat with a sense of knowing that you are here to restore, rebuild and find you on so many levels. The food is only one way to make you feel better it is not the ultimate reason you have come and why you are here.

Crave for more knowledge and more inner knowing. Show and give love to others so they will feel a high from you infused by me.

Journey Group (Mandalas) Feb.2012

This month at the Journey Group Anna Linley guest speaker give a presentation on working, drawing and using mandalas.
She also shared about labyrinths, how she got started and her complete change in career from doing this work which sheis clearly passionate about.

Anna brought with her samples of different mandalas she has drawn for individuals and how they can be used onour healing journey with focus blending into the theme even for quieting our minds. There were photos she has taken showing how mandalas appear on shells, in ice puddles, flowers you just need to look. For me it again confirms perception and how we perceive things in life is an essential part of our attitude and walk.

Nature, our artistic abilities all given to us by God is another way to reflect upon the greatness of the Creator and Creation. We are all a part of it. I received a message from God about this teaching and was even told to wear a certain top and a white round bracelet. The colors on the top reflected so many of the colors used and intricacy of the mandalas, the bracelet signified the roundness and that we are one. If you would like to reach Anna her contact information is below.

A mandala for you to use called "Inner light" is posted here on this blog

Message Cindy received from God on mandalas

Feb. 1, 2012

We (meaning God and Cindy) are so happy you have gathered here this evening being willing to look at all types of healing modalities. The Sanskrit of mandalas are ancient ways of healing and coming together to zoom in and focus in on the points of origin as a reflection of timing and where you come from.

Where you came from means everything. When you realize you are on a discovery to the meaning of your life in the grand scheme of things the diamond appears. Like the surface of this stone it glistens and purifies when it’s mined, unlike your mind meaning you need to always work on seeing things from the highest realm of light and wisdom.

When you look at anything, object, situation what do you see? How are you viewing it? The point is this be all you can be in God knowing you are more than this all of this!

Anna is here to guide you and inspire you with what you have come here to do. Plans have a way of changing mid course when you uncover more of who you truly are.

Thank Anna for her willingness to always bring light. She is a dedicated Spirit through much hard work that she has found a course to let her light shine.

Be the beacon of light that you all are.

Journey Group (Resolutions) Jan. 2012

Resolutions were researched, the two lists on what are the most popular New Year's Resolution are below. We had a discussion on them the feedback was great along with personal resolutions we had made. Each person drew a card for the theme of the year as their own 2012 resolution.
A message from God was given to the group about the New Year. A prayer for anxiety that Michelle found is included. Thanks Michelle.

RESOLUTION LISTS

New Year's Eve has always been a time for looking back to the past, and more importantly, forward to the coming year. It's a time to reflect on the changes we want (or need) to make
and resolve to follow through on those changes. Are your New Year resolutions on this top ten list?
1. Spend More Time with Family & Friends
Recent polls conducted by General Nutrition Centers, Quicken, and others shows that more than
50% of Americans vow to appreciate loved ones and spend more time with family and friends this year.
2. Fit in Fitness
The evidence is in for fitness. Regular exercise has been associated with more health benefits than anything else known to man. Studies show that it reduces the risk of some cancers, increases longevity, helps achieve and maintain weight loss, enhances mood, lowers blood pressure, and even improves arthritis. In short, exercise keeps you healthy and makes you look and feel better.
3. Tame the Bulge
Over 66 percent of adult Americans are considered overweight or obese by recent studies, so it is not surprising to find that weight loss is one of the most popular New Year's resolutions.
Setting reasonable goals and staying focused are the two most important factors in sticking with a weight loss program.
4. Quit Smoking
If you have resolved to make this the year that you stamp out your smoking habit,
over-the-counter availability of nicotine replacement therapy now provides easier access to proven quit-smoking aids. Even if you've tried to quit before and failed, don't let it get you down. On average, smokers try about four times before they quit for good. Start enjoying the rest of your smoke-free life!
5. Enjoy Life More
Given the hectic, stressful lifestyles of millions of Americans, it is no wonder that "enjoying life more" has become a popular resolution in recent years. It's an important step to a happier and
healthier you! Consider holistic healing, bring balance to your body, mind and soul. Or just get out and try something new!
6. Quit Drinking
While many people use the New Year as an incentive to finally stop drinking, most are not equipped to make such a drastic lifestyle change all at once. Many heavy drinkers fail to quit cold turkey but do much better when they taper gradually, or even learn to moderate their drinking. If you have decided that you want to stop drinking, there is a world of help and support available.
7. Get Out of Debt
Was money a big source of stress in your life last year? Join the millions of Americans who have resolved to spend this year getting a handle on their finances. It's a promise that will repay itself many times 0ver in the year ahead.
8. Learn Something New
Have you vowed to make this year the year to learn something new? Perhaps you are considering a career change, want to learn a new language, or just how to fix your computer? Whether you take a course or read a book, you'll find education to be one of the easiest, most motivating New Year's resolutions to keep.
9. Help Other
A popular, non-selfish New Year's resolution, volunteerism can take many forms. Whether you choose to spend time helping out at your local library, mentoring a child, or building a house, there are many nonprofit volunteer organizations that could really use your help.
10. Get Organized
On just about every New Year resolution top ten list, organization can be a very reasonable goal.
Whether you want your home organized enough that you can invite someone over on a whim, or your office organized enough that you can find the stapler when you need it, these tips and resources should get you started on the way to a more organized life.

2ND LIST

Popular New Year's Resolutions

These New Year's resolutions are popular year after year. Find resources to help you achieve your goals.

* Drink Less Alcohol
* Eat Healthy Food
* Get a Better Education
* Get a Better Job
* Get Fit
* Lose Weight
* Manage Debt
* Manage Stress
* Quit Smoking
* Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle
* Save Money
* Take a Trip
* Volunteer to Help Others

MESSAGE FROM GOD

Work less, work often it doesn't matter as long as you love what you do. The choice is this be miserable or be joyful. The bliss in life you often find disappears and reappears by the circumstances in your life. Do not let circumstances control you. You know better than that. There is a continually stream of source energy for you to plug into this year each year it doesn't disappear. Often we find the holiday season to be a stressful time with all the extra trimmings a holiday can roll in, but don't let that overwhelm you instead find a new way to celebrate your life. The celebrations we have gotten use to often miss the whole meaning to the event instead keep it simple and blissful.

This group who assembles this evening and all who pass on this info will learn to adjust to all the seasons of their life. Lives are meant to be lived to the fullest and you can only do that when you resolve what is troubling you deep inside.
So pick a card and focus on the theme and the new Year you are in.

ANXIETY PRAYER

Here's the link to the anxiety prayer on the Guideposts website:
http://www.guideposts.org/blogs/seeds-of-devotion/breathing-prayer-devotions-for-anxiety

Here's the actual content pasted into this email:

Breathing Prayer: Devotions for Anxiety
By Julia Attaway, January 4, 2012
Can we talk anxiety? You know what I mean: that roiling inner whirlwind, the blinding, gut-wrenching, confusion-making state of being that takes over our hearts and minds from time to time. When anxiety’s got you in its grip, it’s hard to avoid worrying about tomorrow. It’s difficult to adopt a Jeremiah 29:11 attitude. Sometimes it seems all we can do is shove our fears heavenward and hope God takes them away. I think there’s a better way. Anxiety works on a very primitive level. It has a physical component which we can counteract by applying a physical remedy. Several years ago I learned that there’s actually a right way to breathe to reduce anxiety and stress. The Harvard Health Blog calls it breath control. The technique has certain similarities with prayerful meditation, and since it’s completely compatible with faith, I personally call it “breathing prayer.” Try this: Close your eyes and inhale slowly, imagining pulling the Spirit in so fully that it fills every pore of your body. Make sure your stomach expands; you want to be pregnant with peace. Exhale slowly through your nose. You can pray while you do this (though if you’re anxious when you start, you probably won’t think of it until after a few breaths, when your head starts to clear). Simple prayers work best:
While inhaling While exhaling
Come Holy Spirit… fill my heart
Lord Jesus… grant me your peace
Lord Jesus… I love you
If you practice when you’re not in the throes of wild anxiety, it will be easier to pray this way
when you are. But “breathing prayer” is a good addition to any regular prayer time. Anything that clears the head and calms the body frees us up to hear God better. And that’s what prayer is all about.

Journey Group (John Denver Music) Oct. 2011

A big thank you goes to Ed Hamlin for his sharing on John Denver. The evening certainly lifted us all to a higher place as we listened and discussed the affect music has on our lives.

Ed brought along the music and a letter written by John Denver (see attachment John Denver's message) Please scroll down for a message from God on music).

We discussed:
The vibration of music and how it heals. George talked about how the sound affects your body with healing.

Music had a profound affect on Ed’s son, how? It helped his son with talking.

What we listen to is what we are emotional feeling in other words we resonate to where we are emotionally & energetically.

Rich even saw a sign in a restaurant on his way to the group with the same message we discussed.

We closed with two songs Nancy LeMot “We live on borrowed time” http://

Prayer update from Diantha Journey group

Hi, (or High), I was shown a word on a dictionary page before I completely came out of sleep the morning after the last meeting, the word 'kindle' or 'kindling', one of my two strongest impressions for this word was --- it was an answer to your question to me from spirit, "how do I sound" when I'm doing my prayers? I love this word, it hopped like a happy elf around me. I will share my impressions of the word during the next Journey meeting, meanwhile I would like to share this word with the group during the month to see what what they think, if you would please blog it.

A date with Sheen Obsidian by Dianthia

A Date with Sheen Obsidian

Fortune invites me to a Dance at a gracious country manor.

I attend, although I am not used to the formal setting or the ambience of luxury.

At first, I do feel out of place, not ready for the fullness of Life I see before me, but Good Spirits and Cordiality are flowing.

I am among Cherished friends, old and new.

The Kindness of golden lamps alight in every corner embraces me and the glittering Illumination of candles on every table inspires me.

The air is cool, sweet and silken on my cheeks.

My senses are showered by the high perfumes of rose, jasmine and minted greenery breezing through the open windows.

An orchestra is playing pink harmonious melodies that relax my heart and release my feet.

I find myself standing at a carved ivory balustrade surrounding a blue-stoned terrace.

A single stone rests on the edge of the railing, a small black pebble of promise.

I pick it up.

Calm and Comfort and Hope are cupped in the warm palm of my hand.

Bright yellow butterflies are fluttering in my stomach.

I smile a truly happy smile.

My heart quickens. Mystery unfolds. My Story unfolds.

I feel my aura expand into the beautiful Virtues of the night.

In that moment, I am that girl, that woman, the one wearing the perfect black velvet dress.

The enchanting folds enhance my natural beauties,

And, all I perceived and believed were imperfections, embarrassments, and unkind blights are transmuted into simple Grace.

I am wrapped in the soft mysterious Light of the Eternal Feminine.

My Soul is awake in Perfect Place and singing with the Sterling Stars above.

My eyes follow the lustrous beams of moonlight dancing across the gardens and through the Obsidian depths of the woods beyond.

My gaze falls to rest on one shadowed figure standing alone beneath a noble arch of majestic rose bushes, whose blossoms glow purple and cream in the spell of the night.

The figure seems to be patiently waiting for something, and also seems familiar.

The air is shimmering around us both as if the moment is attended by Destiny’s Angels and silver-dusted by Fairy Wishes.

That Soul steps forth to cross the black paths between dew-kissed jasmine and the wide Heaven spell of roses, and into the illuminating sheen of Golden Lamplight.

It is the One, the One who completes my Heart with Calm Comfort and fills me with Promise and Hope, the one I have waited for, yet has always been familiar and near, perhaps through centuries and beyond.

I step forth to descend the blue-terraced staircase to the harmony of a violin waltz lifting my feet with flowing Faith.

And we meet in that one precious Moment, potent with silver moonbeams, bathed by the warm golden hues of lamplight, and caressed with the soft sheen of black velvet Obsidian flowing into Eternity. . . Because I am that girl, that Woman.

Manifestation feedback from Sharon Journey group

Hi Cindy,

I had to let you know how great the group was last night and how much energy there was. It was amazing. When the Manifestation card came to me I didn't know what to think. There was so many great ideas and thoughts but I HAVE the answer today. I thought you'd like to know what happened.

As I said last night, I lost my way in faith. I was floundering and didn't know if God or anyone was actually hearing me. It was as if the communication line was down and I felt a empty nothing where once I felt surrounded by God. A week ago I pleaded for a sign, that there was someone listening and that things would be okay. I asked and asked, just as a starving man asks for scraps. Still starving I went to the group where so much energy and love filled the room and the Manifestation card was in front of me. As I drove home (I live an hour and a half away) I thought about it and thought it must mean that I need to manifest the things I'm asking, become those things. Well the real meaning was delivered to me this morning on the way to work.

I started my commute thinking again about the card and how I felt like a blind person not seeing the light and WHAM a truck with a huge sign BLINDS AND SHADES was right next to me. I couldn't miss it. It was gone as quickly as that thought popped into my head. Wow, maybe I'm NOT blind and shaded from God. I thought about that for about five minutes as I drove along the route I drive everyday. Maybe God does see and hear me, Maybe that was the manifestation I was asking for. Still pondering this and the thinking about the heartache and pain in my life, WHAM a jeep with a tire cover on the back pulls right in front of me. Cindy, this is the Manifestation....on that tire cover was written "LIFE IS GOOD". I drove behind that jeep for 20 minutes with my eyes glued to those words. My answer was given...it can't be any plainer. I was blind, life is good. I felt such an energy shift at that moment and such gratitude that I actually had joy. I'm still in such awe of such a sign. It was as if God took a billboard and wrote on it. It couldn't be any plainer. I had my manifestation. Sometimes the word is exactly what it is.

It's 15 hours later and I still feel that joy and awe, I feel different, almost connected. I've found a path and my journey is unfolding. I don't know what's next, but I feel very at peace knowing that I was heard. There is someone there!

Thank you for the gift you shared,

Sharon
Hi Cindy,

You're more than welcome to share this amazing story. To feel this wonderful is truly awe inspiring. There is more to the story now too.

Everyday now during my morning commute, I turn off the radio and just talk to God and tell him about all the things that I'm truly grateful for and somehow things just pour out that I had no idea were in me. It's like a fountain that was turned on and just keeps bubbling up. As I was rolling along and telling God whatever came up from my heart, I asked him to put into my life the soul mate that he has for me as I travel through my journey. For some reason I said, please give me a sign that you're hearing me and how grateful I am that I feel so full of love and so alive. Cindy, just as before, within a minute of asking, WHAM a work van pulls right in front of me with big letters painted on it. I couldn't believe my eyes when I read "LOCAL MAN" plumbing. (I never heard of that company and have never seen that van before but I do know, God has a sense of humor and he knows I need really BIG signs since I'm a novice at this!) I have no doubt that manifestation is part of the card I chose that night. When I chose that card I had no idea what it was but it's coming in loud and clear!

Then this morning I was driving along and talking God's ear off and said, please guide me and send into my life the people and experiences that will bring love and light into my life. Yes, you guessed it, It wasn't even a minute and WHAM, I got cut off again. This time by a volkswagon with a big bumper sticker that said: GOT HOPE!

I know God has a plan for me and the first was to open my eyes and reconnect. I am thankful I did before he had to actually drop a car on me! I wish I had your gift so he could tell me without the close calls but sometimes I guess it takes a good shove to wake up and realize every minute is a gracious gift that we can use to the full or waste. I feel that my purpose will be revealed soon on my journey. Who knows, I may get a billboard with it!

Once again, thank you for helping me to find my connection to the energy from God and for that communication to open up again. To feel his love all around is just amazing. I feel the heavy weight has been lifted and I'm letting go of the reigns and letting God put me where I should be. He's shown me in no uncertain terms, he hears and he's there.

Love,
Sharon

DuBois Manor new book Diana Baxter

Below is the intro to my book, DuBois Manor.

It is about a life and how it has so many twists and turns. This book takes place in a river mansion. I come up with these intros on all the books now. Have no idea where but, when I start a new manuscript these sayings pop out. This one below is one I came up with last summer out of the blue. This butterfly has spiritual meaning throughout the book. It makes more sense once you read the book. Anyway, wanted to share it with you and if anyone else wants to read it.

Of course I read it out loud in my Deep southern drawl as the book takes place late 1880's down south...........Just wanted to share................

We are never truly alone on this journey we call life.
We are guided and watched over by loved ones who have passed on.
Life has it’s deep currents, twists and turns as does a river.
We come here safe out of a cocoon only to find we have wings that can take us on our journey.
Choosing where we decide to take flight and land is entirely up to us.
Always remember, once out the cocoon we are all fragile as is the butterfly.

I knew there was a reason for my love of coffee

Thank you Stacy for sending me this:
A young woman went to her mother and told her about her life and howthings were so hard for her. She did not know how she was going to makeit and wanted to give up She was tired of fighting and struggling. It seemed as soon as one problem was solved, a new one arose.

Her mother took her to the kitchen. She filled three pots with water and placed each on a high fire. Soon the pots came to boil. In the first she placed carrots, in the second she placed eggs, and in the last she placed ground coffee beans. She let them sit and boil; without saying a word.

In about twenty minutes she turned off the burners. She fished the carrots out and placed them in a bowl. She pulled the eggs out and placed them in a bowl. Then she ladled the coffee out and placed it in a bowl. Turning to her daughter, she asked, "Tell me what you see.." "Carrots, eggs, and coffee," she replied.

Her mother brought her closer and asked her to feel the carrots. She did and noted that they were soft. The mother then asked the daughter to take an egg and break it. After pulling off the shell, she observed the hard boiled egg.

Finally, the mother asked the daughter to sip the coffee. The daughter smiled as she tasted its rich aroma. The daughter then asked, "What does it mean, mother?"

Her mother explained that each of these objects had faced the same adversity: boiling water. Each reacted differently... The carrot went in strong, hard, and unrelenting. However, after being subjected to thebo iling water, it softened and became weak. The egg had been fragile. Its thin outer shell had protected its liquid interior, but after sitting through the boiling water, its inside became hardened. The ground coffee beans were unique, however. After they were in the boiling water, they had changed the water.

"Which are you?" she asked her daughter. "When adversity knocks on your door, how do you respond? Are you a carrot, an egg or a coffee bean?

Think of this: Which am I? Am I the carrot that seems strong, but with pain and adversity do I wilt and become soft and lose my strength?

Am I the egg that starts with a malleable heart, but changes with the heat? Did I have a fluid spirit, but after a death, a breakup, a financial hardship or some other trial, have I become hardened and stiff? Does my shell look the same, but on the inside am I bitter and tough with a stiff spirit and hardened heart?

Or am I like the coffee bean? The bean actually changes the hot water, the very circumstance that brings the pain.. When the water gets hot, it releases the fragrance and flavor.. If you are like the bean, when things are at their worst, you get better and change the situation around you. When the hour is the darkest and trials are their greatest, do you elevate yourself to another level? How do you handle adversity? Are you a carrot, an egg or a coffee bean?

May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human and enough hope to make you happy.

The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way. The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past; you can't go forward in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches. When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying.

Affirmation

I am the director of my life. I notice my feelings and attitudes and keep myself in a place of health and equanimity. I am not hurried by the world around me or taken off balance of the statement of others. I stay in balance from a place of realization of the Divine within me. I move forward to wisdom, power and Selfcare

Thank you Nancy for this wonderful affirmation.

With passion pray,
With passion work,
With passion make love
With passion, eat and drink and dance and play.

The will and grace of God

'To get something you never had, you have to do something you never did.' When God takes something from your grasp, He's not punishingyou, but merely opening your hands to receive something better. Concentrate on this sentence.... 'The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.'

Power of Grace from Michelle M.

The love, energy and empowerment we give to one anotheris so important. We are spiritual beings here on a human experiencebut we are always empowered by God.
Cindy :)

From Michelle M.
The words of wisdom came from an author by the name of Cheryl Richardson. She is an author and Life Coach. One of her books is called The Unmistakable Touch of Grace.

Here are the positive affirmations from last week's session:
The Power of Grace
I am open and receptive to the power of grace in my life.My life is divinely guided and I am always going in the best direction. Charge Forward! When we combine action with unwavering faith, the power of grace will meet our needs.

Grace for me, in my own words is when God steps in and gives you favor. He watches over you and protects you. You know like when you miss that plane or drive in later and you are savedfrom an unfortunate event. How about when something inside tells you, guides you to make a decision (a gut feeling) or you bump into someone who in some way was meant to be (like a coincidence). or right when you are at your ends, the right message, person, book, words, ...intervene to HELP!! All that is GRACE! I am sure we could probably come up with so many others. We all have examples of how grace has guided our lives if we look back carefullyat the orchestrated events. Maybe, we can all share one event that we remember or have experienced.

Angelic messages from Michelle B.

From Michelle B.
Archangels
Michael – Protection – Overcoming Fears – Finding Life's Purpose
Rafael – Healer (works with those involved with healing and those needing healing)
Gabriel – Messenger (works with writers, teachers, preachers, etc.)

Angels must be asked to assist – they work with those that desire their assistance and do not cross or interfere with a person's free-will.
----------

My dearest angels:
What messages do you have for the attendees of theWed night Journey Group from last week?
We come to you with guidance and clarity that you may continue on your paths to greatness. We love that each of you is looking to connect with us beyond, to guide and help you grow and change as is needed for the fulfillment of yourdestinies and the pursuit of your desires.
Your own individual greatness will give attention to tread the path needed to travel toward that deeper greatness within. The greatness within longs to shineto assist others in guidance, healing and sharing experiences in order to move others thoughts and actions in line with spirit. Each of you will guide others with your own healing and writing or speaking ministries/talents.
Do not fear – our angelic and spiritual guidance and assistance is also available to you and your 'clients' and loved ones. Just ask us, ask us to guide you. Be clear in your questions and we will be clear in helping in the situation that you ask us about. We are here for you whenever you desire assistance of any type. Ask and listen within – your senses will awaken as you continually make connection with us in your asking; thoughts or spoken word ... we hear you. Your greater good is supported though us andwe will help you with those items that are for your greatest good.
Continue to ask; for you each ask for little for yourself and much for others– it is okay to ask for yourself as well – it is not selfish; it is through your desires that allows attraction to you. Good attracts good ... continue with good healthy desires (you know good desires from strictly material desires).
It is up to you to continue to learn and grow – yes, practice connecting with us. You will not always need 'teachers', for you will be those teaching and sharing to guide and assist other in their growth.

Your Assignments are to each find one person with whom to share an experience with – another spiritual person that you know and trust.
1 – Place your left hands on each other's right shoulders (facing each other)
2 – Look into each other's left eye
3 – State the following: (you can take turns)
I open myself to the divine, to guide and open me to help others through divine loving guidance
4 – Each sit and write the thoughts that come to you about your future and about helping others

Do not always ask when you pray, but instead affirm God's blessings are
being given and spend most of your prayer giving thanks.

Maybe

1. Maybe. . We were supposed to meet the wrong people before meeting theright one so that, when we finally meet the right person, we will knowhow to be grateful for that gift.
2. Maybe . . . when the door of happiness closes, another opens; but, often times, we look so long at the closed door that we don't even seethe new one which has been opened for us.
3. Maybe . . . it is true that we don't know what we have until we loseit, but it is also true that we don't know what we have been missinguntil it arrives.
4. Maybe . . . the happiest of people don't necessarily have the best ofeverything; they just make the most of everything that comes along theirway.
5. Maybe . . . the brightest future will always be based on a forgottenpast; after all, you can't go on successfully in life until you let goof your past mistakes, failures and heartaches.
6. Maybe. .. . You should dream what you want to dream; go where youwant to go, be what you want to be, because you have only one life andone chance to do all the things you dream of, and want to do.
7. Maybe . . . there are moments in life when you miss someone -- aparent, a spouse, a friend, a child -- so much that you just want topick them from your dreams and hug them for real, so that once they arearound you appreciate them more.
8 Maybe. .. . The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porchand swing with, never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it wasthe best conversation you've ever had.
9. Maybe. . You should always try to put yourself in others' shoes. Ifyou feel that something could hurt you, it probably will hurt the otherperson, too.
10. Maybe. . You should do something nice for someone every single day, even if it is simply to leave them alone. Profound!
11. Maybe. . Giving someone all your love is never an assurance thatthey will love you back. Don't expect love in return; just wait for itto grow in their heart; but, if it doesn't, be content that it grew inyours.
12. Maybe . . . happiness waits for all those who cry, all those whohurt, all those who have searched, and all those who have tried, foronly they can appreciate the importance of all the people who havetouched their lives.
13. Maybe . . . you shouldn't go for looks; they can deceive; don't gofor wealth; even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you smile, because it takes only a smile to make a dark day seem bright. Find theone that makes your heart smile
14. Maybe. . you should hope for enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, andenough hope to make you happy
15. Maybe . . you should try to live your life to the fullest becausewhen you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smilingbut when you die, you can be the one who is smiling and everyone aroundyou crying.

Stay awake - stay alert - true story

STAY AWAKE - STAY ALERT - What a lessson! A TRUE STORY
A man sat at a metro station in Washington, DC and started to play theviolin; it was a cold January morning. He played six Bach pieces for about45 minutes. During that time, since it was rush hour, it was calculated thatthousands of people went through the station, most of them on their way towork.Three minutes went by and a middle-aged man noticed there was a musicianplaying. He slowed his pace and stopped for a few seconds and then hurriedup to meet his schedule.A minute later, the violinist received his first dollar tip: a woman threwthe money in the basket and without stopping, continued to walk.A few minutes later, someone leaned against the wall to listen to him, butthe man looked at his watch and started to walk again. Clearly he was late for work. The one who paid the most attention was a 3 year old boy. His mother taggedhim along, hurrying, but the kid stopped to look at the violinist. Finallythe mother pushed hard and the child continued to walk, turning his head allthe time. This action was repeated by several other children. All theparents, without exception, forced them to move on.In the 45 minutes the musician played, only 6 people stopped and stayed fora while. About 20 gave him money but continued to walk their normal pace.He collected $32. When he finished playing and silence took over, no onenoticed. No one applauded, nor was there any recognition. No one knew this but the violinist was Joshua Bell, one of the greatestmusicians in the world. He played one of the most intricate pieces everwritten, with a violin worth 3.5 million dollars! Two days before his playing in the subway, Joshua Bell sold out a theater inBoston with the seats averaged $100.00 each. This is a real story. Joshua Bell playing incognito in the metro stationwas organized by the Washington Post as part of a social experiment aboutperception, taste and priorities of people. The outlines were: in acommonplace environment at an inappropriate hour...Do we perceive beauty?Do we stop to appreciate it? Do we recognize the talent in an unexpectedcontext? One of the possible conclusions from this experience could be:If we do not have a moment to stop and listen to one of the finest musiciansin the world playing some of the most wonderful music ever written, howmany other things are we missing?

who I adore I thought it was great. Enjoy.

New Year, new energy, new beginnings, life changes, God is constant.
Amen

Peace and love,
Cindy

Have a New Years Resolution for 2009.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Take a 10-30 minute walk every day. And while you walk, smile. It is the ultimate anti-depressant.
2. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day.
3. Buy a DVR and tape your late night shows and get more sleep.

5. Live with the 3 E's -- Energy, Enthusiasm, and Empathy.
6. Play more games and read more books than you did in 2008.
7. Make time to practice meditation and prayer. They provide us with daily fuel for our busy lives.
8. Spend time with people over the age o f 70 and under the age of six.
9. Dream more while you are awake.
10. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants. Eat less food that is manufactured in plants. 11. Drink green tea and plenty of water. Eat blueberries, wild Alaskan salmon, broccoli, almonds & walnuts.
12. Try to make at least three people smile each day.
13. Clear clutter from your house, your car, your desk and let new and flowing energy into your life.
14. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip, or issues of the past, negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.
15. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime .
16. Eat break fast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a college kid with a maxed out charge card.
17. Smile and laugh more. It will keep the NEGATIVE BLUES away.
18. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.
19. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
20. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
21. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
22. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present.
23. Don't compare your life to others'. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
24. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
25. Frame every so-called disaster with these words: 'In five years, will this matter?'
26. Forgive everyone for everything.
27. What other people think of you is none of your business.
28. REMEMBER GOD heals everything.
29. However good or bad a situation is, it will change
30. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will. Stay in touch.
31. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.
32. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
33. The best is yet to come.
34. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
35. Do the right thing!
36. Call your family often. (Or email them to death!!!)
37. Each night before you go to bed complete the following statements: I am thankful for __________. Today I accomplished _________.
38. Remember that you are too blessed to be stressed.
39. Enjoy the ride. Remember this is not Disney World and you certainly don't want a fast pass. You only have one ride through life so make the most of it and enjoy the ride.
40. Please Forward this to everyone you care about.

May your troubles be less, May your blessings be more, May nothing but happiness come through your door!

Spirit by Firebird

Spirit
lost Spirit,
part

of my ancient heart
what
can I give you?

dear one,
hold close in your arms
for me

the joy
of your eyes
first opening

the sun's whisper
lifting the grass
each morning

this is what
I need

lost Spirit
ribbon of snow
drifting
past
stones and shadow
how
will I find you?

dear one,
hold close in your arms
for me
the melody
that makes a deer leap
in spring

the song you sing
when love is
the only language

the weightless light
that floats you
through the sky

and when your arms
can reach no more
and you see
with your own heart
blindly

then
you will surely find me

Transparent butterflies

It comes from Central America and is found from Mexico to Panama. It is quite common in its zone, but it not easy to find because of its transparent wings, which is a natural camouflage mechanism. A butterfly with transparent wings is rare and beautiful. As delicate as finely blown glass, the presence of this rare tropical gem is used by rain forest ecologists as an indication of high habitat quality and its demise alerts them of ecological change. Rivaling the refined beauty of a stained glass window, the translucent wings of the Glasswing butterfly shimmer in the sunlight like polished panes of turquoise, orange, green, and red. All things beautiful do not have to be full of color to be noticed: in life that which is unnoticed has the most power.

Don't take it personally

Don’t take it personally.
He or she doesn’t call back.
I am not thanked.
Someone yells at me.
I hope you can relate to the type of stuff we experience in our life.

When I call my friend and they don’t return my call could it be that they simply aren’t up to it or maybe somehow their schedule conflicts with the amount of free time they have to even be able to make a call. Perhaps there isn’t even a valid reason people respond as they do verses what I think they should be doing. I may place certain expectations on someone and when they don’t live up to what I think they should be doing than where does my love for them go? Do I consider them to be selfish, did they abandon me or do I abandon them for their lack of action?
Or could I choose to continue to hold them in my heart and welcome their return letting them know they were missed when we next meet.

What is it that the universe wants me to do?
Stand up for myself and let them know I am hurt by their behavior but if only love is real what is the point of taking on an angry response? Do I impose guilt on them for their behavior or do I simply say I am so happy to spend this time with you I value the time we have when we are together.

I can’t live in both worlds and give them the same value, the human world or the world of Spirit. I pick the Spirit world, which gives me my greatest strength, perspective and where my energy will go on forever. I am in charge of my beliefs, how I view something, what I believe and how I behave.

How can I withhold or take my love away when I hold love in the core of me? Love never leaves so why do we choose to? Now don’t misunderstand me I may choose to physically leave but emotionally does my love for another stop? When I remember that my time here on earth is temporary I remember to make the most of it. I know my most important relationship is that with God and I know God would say it’s all about love and forgiveness.

But is the forgiveness really the act of me forgiving myself for taking on a judgmental or condemning attitude of my soul brother or sister? When I truly am in touch with God there is anything I can’t do. When I feel I can’t do it than God can do in through me for God is always there in me I simply ask God to take over and help me hear, see and view things as you do.

What I need to take personally is what I know and experience with God. That is the key to my entire being, the mind, body and Spirit and soul of me is all tied into this understanding and more importantly this relationship. So the next time I get angry I can choose to count to ten and as I do ask God help me to change my perspective and come from love NOW. I also know God gives me so many chances I just need to know that I am doing the best I can but to not to make excuses but to stay mindfully aware. So as I go about my day may I know nothing can take away my peace and love don’t take it personally for it is my eternal walk with God that I know personally surpasses it all. Did you realize your skin is a major organ?

Did you realize your skin is a major organ?
Beauty on the inside and out
By Maria Albuquerque and Cindy Miller

Health tip: Did you realize your "SKIN" is a major organ?
Through our skin we experience the world both on the inside and out.
For example when we feel pain and pleasure our body senses this.
When we are cold are skin turns blue, when our skin is irritated it turns red.
Our skin relays the changes between the external and the internal.
These changes are responses that are triggered to help restore balance between
our interior and exterior.

Our skin is the indicator for our health. Looking pale, dark circle under our eyes,
flushed, red cheeks, hives are all signs of how well we are doing. Our skin is linked to many bodily functions from blood circulation to releasing toxins. When something goes wrong on the inside our body tries to get our attention through our skin. It is important to notice and recognize the changes.

Our skin is our physical container but it protects the flesh and our body. When we are cut it has the wonderful ability to heal. When we have a splinter and are evaded by bacteria
extra blood flow is sent to that area so that the white blood cells and nutrients start healing action.

Many skin problems can be addressed by healthy nutrition. Treating the inside will result in a healthier outside. Usually when you feel good your skin looks good.

Skin is your body's first line of defense it filters the suns rays and keeps out water and toxic substances. It is sometimes called our second kidney because of the million of sweat glands that secrete toxins from our body.

Nutritional support is very important. Copper found in dark leafy veggies, shellfish and whole grains, iron, vitamin C found in fruits and veggies are required for the production
of collagen, which is the glue, that keeps our skin together. Much research has shown
bioflavonoids especially OPCs are powerful antioxidants which help stabilize collagen.
Skin facts:
ü skin of an adult weighs about 8 pounds and measures 20 square feet when stretched out.
ü The thinnest skin which measures 1/25 of an inch is our eyelids.
ü The soles of our feet are the thickest at 1/8 of an inch.
ü We shed about 40 pounds of skin over our lifetime.
ü Men really are thicker-skinned than woman!

Spirit tip: Is someone getting under your skin?
Then bless them for what are they trying to teach you about yourself.
What can you learn from this relationship and experience? Please try to understand that all relationships are sacred. The most challenging ones may turn out to be one of our best teachings and truly our blessing in disguise.

Can you explain this photo?

We are Greek Orthodox and we have a very special memorial service for anyone thatpasses away on or around the 40 day mark of their passing.? Well, as you wouldimagine, that service at church was very hard for all of us.? It is also traditionthat we all go out for a fish dinner after the service.? So I had about 70 peoplefor lunch at the stony hill inn after the 40 day memorial service. That day was snowy.? I drove home and my sister was parked in front of my house.?Well I passed my driveway ( don't know why I did not pull in ) passed my house abit, then turned into the driveway of the house across the street to make a u-turn.?I made the u turn and then parked in front of my house.? My girls looked at thedriveway across the street where I made that u-turn and this is what showed up onthe snow.? Tell me what you see!!!? I think it is some sign or something.? Let meknow your thoughts!!! Anastasia

(Anastasia husbands John crossed over this image is what appeared to her comments are welcomed. Cindy (:) )
Cindy's reflections from the angel's on this picture:
" I think when two hearts were joined as were yours the symbolism of leaving them on the driveway is pure love. John was and is your first love.He taught you more about love, loving yourself and others. What a remarkable way for you to see just that and the fact that you were a pair of sweethearts. Amazing love like that is something to be cherished which I know you do. Someone new is coming and when he does he'll be special to."

Harry Potter

"It is a curious thing, Harry, but perhaps those who are best suited to power are those who have never sought it. Those who, like you, have leadership thrust upon them, and take up the mantle because they must, and find to their own surprise that they wear it well." Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Feng shui

Today's Topic: Doors and Windows
TRUTH: The RATIO of doors to windows, in a home, can affect BALANCE in a family’s life.
Doors and windows are important in Feng Shui. They represent a "parent’s mouth and a child’s voice." If windows (childrens voices) out number doors (parents mouths) in a home, arguments among siblings and adults can arise. Also, rude behavior such as children talking back to parents, acting out and/or displaying hyper activity can occur too. In addition, if "most" of the windows are larger in size than the doors, children can become defiant, get their way and/or ignore their parent’s wisdom altogether.
TIP: Regardless of the size and ratio of doors to windows in your home, hang a bell or wind chime "near" (but not obstructing) entrance and exit doors, to create harmony and balance. This way when the door opens, and the chime sounds, the parental voice will be heard by all the windows...children!
INTENTION: My behavior and integrity is stellar. I am in balance with my environment and with every member of my family.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:If you have not registered yet for our F*REE "annual" Feng Shui Telephone Conference call on January 29, 2008, Go to www.AskSuzeeMiller.com and RSVP Today. You are welcome to share this invitation with a friend or two as well.
